Kiss of Death at the Museum

Kiss of Death at the Guggenheim Museum
February 2005

'Kiss of Death' by British artists Tim Noble and Sue Webster stood out among all that art.

Kiss of Death at the Guggenheim
Stuffed carrion crows, jackdaws, rooks, minks, and brown rats, with various bones, arranged on a metal stand.

When a light is shone on these accumulated creatures, the silhouette cast is that of two human heads, one of which is being pecked at by a crow.

People crowded around it. It held their attention.

It could even absorb the glares from the Picassos.
