A monkey in the forest

Simon Dwyer
10 June 2007

At time of writing, Simon Dwyer (editor of the Rapid Eye series) has no page on Wikipedia. So we're going to remember him here.

A monkey in the forest

There's that story about the Sex Pistols gig at Manchester's Lesser Free Trade Hall in June 1976. It's said that nearly everyone in the audience went off and started a band.

The bands that form may not sound like their influences (Mick Hucknall from Simply Red says he was one of the 42 present etc etc), but still, that one experience propelled them into action.

Rapid Eye

My theory is that many people who got hold of the early Rapid Eyes, or the three Rapid Eye books that Simon Dwyer edited, then went off and created.

What did they create?

What was Simon's story?

We hope to bring you more information soon.

Did you know Simon?
Were you influenced by his work?
