| Extrageographic?
In
1984 William Gibson's overwrought thriller - the
visionary Neuromancer was published. It was about
what the internet could be, written before the
internet existed.
Gibson
gave an interview, around about 1992 / '93 to
Rapid Eye 3, (Simon Dwyer, editor).
In
this interview he mentioned extrageography.
Cyberspace (a term Gibson may have coined), is
the mental continent where long distance phone
calls take place.
And
once we're in cyberspace / on the web, said Gibson,
then we become extrageographic - beyond geography.
Extrageographic.org,
in part, is a guide to this new world.

Jean
Cocteau
The
artist Jean Cocteau said that
montage could overcome time and space.
So,
the obvious canvas for a deliberate montage, would
be beyond geography already - the internet.
So,
er, yeah, here you are, reading this.
